Our family fun day on the peel has been running very successfully for the last 11 years but unfortunately the main organizer is unavailable this year. So we decided to make the most of the opportunity and try something different. This year following the promotion service we are inviting everyone to our family fun day out. We will be going to Active Kids Adventure Park near Perth for the afternoon. The trip is open to the whole church family and not just those with children in Junior Church. As always we hope that the sun shines and lots of people come along and join us.
I have booked 250 places and while children under 2 get free entry to the park, a child ticket (2-12yrs) costs £6 and an adult ticket costs £2. There is a special indoor play area for 2-7year olds which costs an extra £1. This is a special group rate although I have arranged for each family to pay individually on arrival, you should just need to mention you are with St Michael’s Parish Church. While you are free to make your own way to the park we are planning to hire a coach which will leave St Michael’s at 11am. The journey should take about an hour so we hope to be at the park by midday and then will leave when it closes at 5pm being back in Linlithgow about 6pm. Thanks to a generous donation the coach will be free but places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The park has a whole host of activities on offer including climbing frames, a climbing wall, crazy golf, farm animals, giant slides, go-karts, mini-diggers, a play fort, push cars, rope maze, rotating cone, sports field, swings, target football, trampolines, zip line, indoor play area and a coffee shop. While everyone is free to spend the afternoon how they want, we will start by having a picnic together (please bring your own with you) - I have reserved 2 shelters incase the weather is not too good. We will then organize some team games such as rounders on the sports field, with particularly the older children/young people in mind.
